Set at the heart of the Villa gardens, La Torre alle Tolfe’s restaurant offers the best of Tuscan traditions, using fresh local produce, simply prepared, to ensure that the quality and flavours are at their very best. The menus reflect the seasons and are inspired by the estate’s own produce. For us, “food miles” are measured in metres, not kilometres! Many of the vegetables are from our organic “orto” or vegetable garden, with fresh eggs from our hens, and even some of the grains and pulses come from our fields. Herbs too are our own, both wild and cultivated. When it comes to cheeses and meats, we source them from local producers who share our same philosophy.
Guests have access to both the indoor and outdoor seating areas, in and adjacent to the Limonaia, with far- reaching views across the Chianti landscape; the perfect setting from which to savour refreshing aperitives, and our own red and rosé (rosato) organic wines coming from the adjacent vineyards and our cellar. Our wine list also covers a range of Tuscan wines selected from other small producers who share with us a passion for nature and hence adopt organic and sustainable agricultural techniques. In our menus you will find fresh pasta dishes, wood-oven baked pizzas, home-made bread, meat grills…but also the more classic Tuscan dishes from the starters to buffets. Fresh and seasonal fruit and vegetables,
many produced here on the estate, are always a key element on our menus. We are open daily, for lunch and dinner, both to our residential guests and to external visitors. Once weekly we have an aperitive evening with a simple buffet of finger foods. Pre-booking is required to guarantee a place.
